Welcome to the Meyersville Grange's new Website.

Meyersville Grange #188, Patrons of Husbandry was formed in 1909. It is the last Grange left in Morris County and one of only a few in New Jersey.

The National Grange, located in Washington, D.C. was organized in 1867 and the New Jersey Grange in 1872.
Our Meyersville Grange 188 (originally The Passaic Township Grange 188) was granted its charter in 1909. First meetings were held in the building facing the Meyersville Presbyterian Church. In 1926 the present Grange Hall at 500 Meyersville Rd. was built, a team effort on the part of all its members.
Originally. The Grange was a meeting place for farm folk to meet and help one another with farm related problems. They did more than that because some of their many accomplishments were that they were responsible for starting the State Police, rural mail delivery, and many other services we take for granted today. Meetings take place once a month and members look forward to many pleasant social activities such as the popular Soup and Pasta contest, Oktoberfest Dinner, Argyles Fish and Chips Dinner and more. The Grange Hall is also available for rent for parties or other events.
Today, Grangers carry on the traditions started by their founders—to make the Grange a real family fraternity. The Grange benefits people, the community, the state and the nation.

Admission is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under. Admission is free to any entrant who brings a favorite soup or pasta. It is a "Contest" because each person who attends gets to vote for his or her favorite soups, and the five top soup makers receive prizes. The admission now includes soft drinks at no extra cost. Sometimes you may be lucky and we’ll have a Square Dance at 8:00 PM after the Soup Contest. Home made desserts, coffee, tea, and other refreshments are available. Old Time Bluegrass Music is provided by the Long Hill String Band, live, for square dancing or just good old time toe tapping listening fun.

Lately we have been having fun with a Sing Along!

We currently need someone who can "call" a Square Dance. If you know anyone who can please have them contact us!
